Health Care Excellence Award
Do you work with someone who exemplifies excellence in health care? Why not nominate that person to receive the Ridge Meadows Hospital Health Care Excellence Award? This award is offered to recognize and foster excellence in all aspects of health care at Ridge Meadows Hospital campus of care and isn't limited to only nursing, medical imaging, laboratory medicine, social work, physiotherapy, psychiatric nursing.
This is not a Fraser Health Authority wide award. This award is just for Ridge Meadows Hospital.
We believe that excellence makes hospitals a better place to work, a better place to practice medicine and a better place for patients to be treated.
This is a peer to peer nomination process. The whole process is very easy. Staff at Ridge Meadows Hospital are invited to nominate a fellow worker for this award. Simply fill out the application form electronically and collect a couple of letters of recommendation from others. We have included some information on writing a letter of recommendation to help.
Deadline is February 15, 2012.

Health Investment Grant
Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation (RMHF)is a non-profit charitable organization that works at “investing in better health care through community partnerships”. RMHF accepts grant proposals for Fraser Health mission-related programs, projects, equipment, capital expenditures, programs, education and research in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Consideration is also given to charitable and education health care entities affiliated with Ridge Meadows Hospital. The Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation developed a comprehensive granting strategy in order to invest wisely in better health care for citizens of the communities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

Life Long Learning Fund
Ridge Meadows Hospital Foundation (RMHF) recognizes the importance of continuous learning to the success of both individual workers and to Fraser Health as a whole. The Life Long Learning Fund provides funding to support the professional development of the members who make up the multi-disciplinary health care teams who work at RMH. This fund provides up to $500 to fund professional enhancement activities such as conferences, workshops, seminars, and courses. It provides grants, bursaries or release time.
