The Foundation was established in 1985 to raise funds for the purchase of equipment needed in the Ridge Meadows Hospital. Since that time, its mandate has broadened, and its vision has become to improve health care in the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows health services community by creating opportunities for giving.
The most important roles for the Foundation staff and volunteers are:
1) to build relationships and understanding in our communities; and,
2) to act as stewards of donations received and to have complete accountability to our donors.
Using a variety of activities such as special events, communications, and fundraising campaigns, the Foundation reaches out to educate the community about the need for financial and volunteer support in our Health Services area.
